When professional instructional design software costs over $1,000 a year, it creates a two-tier system: well-funded institutions get immersive, interactive content, and everyone else gets a PDF. That gap falls hardest on the students who need the most support. Knowledge Quest Studio exists to close it.
It is built around approaches that meet diverse learners where they are: Universal Design for Learning (UDL), flipped classroom models, scaffolded content, and accessibility-first design, so that every instructor, at every institution, can deliver pedagogically sound lessons regardless of budget.

Everything teachers ask before getting started.
Creator of Knowledge Quest Studio
I know my students because I've been my students. Working full-time. Trying to make ends meet. Figuring out higher education without a roadmap. That background is why I care so much about who gets access to quality online learning, and who doesn't.
The students I teach are parents squeezing in coursework during nap time, adult learners caring for a younger sibling or an aging parent, immigrants and refugees building a new life through education, and students juggling work and school with very little margin for error. As a former AmeriCorps IT instructor for English Language Learner (ELL) students, clear, navigable content isn't a nice-to-have for me; it's the whole point.
I built Knowledge Quest Studio because the tools that make online learning genuinely engaging, interactive, accessible, and designed around how people actually learn, were locked behind price tags that most educators and institutions simply can't afford. That's not acceptable. So I built one and made it free.
In real life, I'm a software engineer and technical college instructor. I spent years as a software engineer at Oracle, the worlds' third largest software company, before becoming an instructor. I brought that engineering background to every design decision in this tool: it has to be fast, reliable, and genuinely easy for a non-technical instructor to use on a Monday morning.
